Meet Dr. Aref El Natour - The Smile Architect!
If teeth could talk, they’d have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Aref El Natour! With over three decades of experience, a Master’s degree in Oral Implantology, and a certification in Orthodontics, Dr. Natour has dedicated his career to crafting stunning, healthy smiles.
His journey started in 1990, when he opened his first private practice in San Francisco’s iconic 450 Sutter Medical-Dental Building—one of the most prestigious addresses for dental professionals in the country. For nearly 20 years, he built a reputation as the go-to expert for restorative and preventive dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implantology. He didn’t just fix teeth—he transformed lives, one smile at a time.
But Dr. Natour isn't one to stay in one place for too long! In 2010, he packed up his expertise and moved to Beirut, Lebanon, where he founded Bristol Smile Center, a high-end group practice built on American dental standards and cutting-edge techniques. His clinic quickly became known for its world-class care, welcoming thousands of patients who left with brighter smiles and happier hearts.
Now, San Francisco is lucky to have him back! Dr. Natour is the proud owner of Smiles on Balboa, where he continues his mission to deliver top-tier dental care with the latest technology and a personal touch. Whether it’s a full-mouth rehab, dental implants, Invisalign, or a simple check-up, he ensures every patient gets the best care possible in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Natour is a man of many talents! He’s a passionate photographer, an avid tennis player, a hiking enthusiast, and has a strong dedication to community service. He has volunteered with the California Dental Association, provided screenings at public schools, and even helped trauma patients with facial and jaw injuries after the Beirut port explosion in 2020.
With a Diplomate status from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, certifications in Nobel Biocare Guided Implant Surgery, Advanced Invisalign, and Diode Laser technology, and a commitment to lifelong learning, Dr. Natour is always at the forefront of modern dentistry. Recently he joined the faculty at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry-sharing his experience with future dentists!
